Plant Forward 2026 – how a sustainable plant-based lifestyle can improve your health
The only regional campaign of its kind is back for the fifth time to make the world a better place for the next generation
This year marks the FIFTH annual Plant Forward campaign from 15-31st May across ten countries in Asia who are coming together to promote sustainable consumption across Asia. This year’s events promise to be engaging, educational and exciting as we look to reach even more people through in person and online events. Our Asian partners will host a dynamic mix of challenges, community events and online activities — inviting everyone to join, take part, connect and celebrate.

Launched in 2022, Plant Forward is a two-week festival bringing communities together across Asia to celebrate plant-based food, sustainable fashion and eco-friendly, cruelty-free living. Organised by ACTAsia’s Compassionate Choices Network (CCN), Plant Forward contributes towards the achievement of TEN United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and empowers people to make everyday choices that shape a better future for animals, people and the planet.
Why Plant Forward is vital in today’s world
ACTAsia wants Plant Forward to be the start of something ground-breaking. Adopting a plant-based diet is not only fantastic for personal health but it also helps to eliminate the suffering of billions of farmed animals worldwide and it helps to combat the urgent climate change issue. ACTAsia’s Plant Forward campaign can literally save lives.
Plant Forward is a unique offering for Asian nations. Campaigns such as Veganuary and Meat Free Mondays are popular in many western countries, but as yet, these campaigns are not so well known across Asia. Indeed, many people in Asia are vegetarian for religious reasons but very few are aware of the health benefits of a plant-based diet for humans, animals and the environment.
Since launching this unique initiative, ACTAsia has seen a fantastic response from our host nations. ACTAsia’s 2025 Plant Forward Campaign was a huge success with Total Engagement of 1.2m, Total Impressions of 158.4m and 192,585 livestream views. These figures demonstrate the fantastic engagement with the campaign as it inspired Asian consumers to really get involved with all things plant-based and we can’t wait to reach even more consumers across Asia in 2026.
At ACTAsia we are passionate about helping Asian nations to learn that by changing the way we live, changing our attitude towards animals, and changing our daily consumption patterns, we can truly make a difference.

Corporate Partners and Dr Greger support Plant Forward
We couldn’t do this without the support of our incredible corporate partners who share our vision for sustainable consumption. Their input is vital in helping consumers recognise that major corporations are changing the way that they think and operate for a better future for animals, people and the environment. Their support is signposting the way to make positive changes in day-to-day living which will have a huge impact on bringing about societal change.
This year we are particularly thrilled to have the support of Dr Greger from www.NutritionFacts.org a science-based non-profit organisation offering a non-commercial public service. The organisation recognises that: ‘researchers have found a way of eating that may prevent, treat, and even reverse the progression of many of our deadliest diseases, including our number one killer, heart disease, as well as type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Despite this, doctors get little, if any, formal nutrition training in medical school and often graduate without some of the most powerful tools available to stop the chronic diseases that remain our leading causes of death and disability.’ Dr Greger and his team recognise the incredible traction that Plant Forward is having in promoting plant-based diets for future health and we are proud to have his support.
