Projects

We plan and implement projects on different animal protection issues, always in partnership with local groups. We focus on long term solutions to problems, instead of quick fix ‘bandaids’ – this allows us to work towards a permanent ending of animal abuse.

a. Partnering - We work intensively together with selected groups. This ‘on-the-job’ learning gives them the experience and confidence to carry out future projects on their own. With this partnership approach we can create models, which can then be used by others across the country.

b. Mentoring - We provide the groups with ongoing guidance and advice to deal with the day-to-day challenges they face. This is a long term process, and involves discussing things with them on at least a weekly basis.

c. Supporting – We try to help them to get funds and expert advice when they face a crisis.

d. Networking – Animal protection groups in a country need to learn from each other and support each other’s work. This creates a strong animal protection movement that can speak up collectively for the animals. We help local groups to set up such networks, and provide resources for their members.
